Gertie Ann Robbins Lawhon, 68, of Wadesboro, died Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
     Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 6, 2010, in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Bethel Cemtery.
     The family will greet friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. until time for the service.
     Gertie was born June 9, 1941, in Robeson County, N.C., a daughter of the late Elbert Lee and Martha Ilean Jarman Robbins. She was retired from Anson Shirt Factory.
     Surviving are her son and daughter, Jamie Lawhon of Peachland and Kimberly Polson of Polkton; her grandchildren, Marissa Polson, Taylor Lawhon, Calbe Mayhall, Sam and Adam Jarrell, and Jessica Marsh; four great-grandchildren; and her sister, Ann Mellema of Gainesboro, Tenn. She was preceded in death by her son, Homer Franklin “Tiger” Jarrell.
